| President Extends Trade Preference Programs On December 28, 2009 President Obama signed legislation that extends the GSP (Generalized System of Preferences) and the Andean Trade Preferences Act (ATPA)/Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act (ATPDEA) for one year. These programs allow for duty free or reduced duty entry of goods into the US from designated countries. |

| Remote Location Filing Becomes Permanent US Customs recently made Remote Location Filing (RLF) a permanent Customs program. RLF benefits importers by allowing entries on most products to be filed from one central location - not necessarily near the port of entry.
