Expansion at the Port of Baltimore
C J was founded in Baltimore in 1987. We’ve always been proud to be part of the freight community at the Port of Baltimore. Our port is one of only four U.S. East Coast ports that is equipped to handle vessels sailing through the Panama Canal. The Port of Baltimore has experienced increases of between 5% and 8% for car and container handling this year. This is partly due to new traffic from the recently expanded Panama Canal.
The Maryland Port Administration has responded by acquiring 70 acres of additional land. The land will be used for container and roll-on/roll-off storage. The MPA forecasts over 1600 additional jobs in the area.
