Informed Compliance Letters from CBP

Some of our Clients have recently received a letter from Customs titled “Distribution of Informed Compliance Publications and Other Informative Documents”. The letter comes with copies of one or several Informed Compliance Publications attached.

If you are an importer and have received one of these letters, you need to take it very seriously. It can only mean that something about your import transactions has caused Customs to give them more scrutiny than usual.

Fortunately, these letters are also an invitation to the importer to closely review their importing activity, and encourage filing Prior Disclosures for any discrepancies found.

If you have received one of these letters, you should contact us immediately so we can help you review your transactions.
