Possible Tariffs – up to 100% – on $21 Billion on imports from EU

The U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has announced that it is initiating an investigation to determine that the European Union (EU) and certain EU member States have denied U.S. rights according to the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement. The USTR proposes action in the form of additional duties, some up to 100% on approximately $21 billion worth of products from the EU on preliminary list of 317 tariff subheadings.

The Section 301 Committee will hold a public hearing on May 15, 2019 in Washington, DC and requests to appear at that hearing must be submitted by May 6, 2019. Due date for submission of written comments is May 28, 2019.
