EU Goods Tariff Hike Effective October 18, 2019

A 25% tariff hike has been announced by the U.S. Trade Representative on over 150 items imported from the European Union countries as well as a 10% hike for new aircraft from France, Germany, Spain and the U.K.

These additional tariffs are a result of a determination by the USTR that U.S. rights under a trade agreement are being denied and that subsidies provided by the EU and certain member States violate provisions of this agreement.

Please review the product list in the publication provided to see if your goods will be affected  – and plan accordingly. Contact your local C J representative if you have any questions.

We will continue to monitor the situation and advise any further of any further developments.
