Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) – Changes Effective January 27, 2022

A Proclamation to modify the HTS was issued by President Biden on December 23, 2021 and posted in the Federal Register on December 28, 2021.

Modifications to the HTS will officially become effective on January 27, 2022 which is the 30-day prescribed time period after the December 28, 2021 publication in the Federal Register.

These modifications will impact 350 products and product groups in various chapters of the HTS and will likely be those recommendations  provided to President Biden last Spring.

Please review the HS 2022 amendments to determine if and how these changes may impact your product classifications.

C J will continue to monitor the 2022 HTS implementation schedule.  If you have any questions, please contact your local C J representative or our Corporate Compliance Officer, Samya Murray at sdmurray@cjinternational.com
