President Trump to Delay 10% Tariff on Certain Items

Earlier this month President Trump announced the latest round of additional 10% tariff (List 4) on $300 billion of Chinese products that would go into effect on September 1, 2019.

Yesterday the White House announced it will delay that tariff on certain items only to December 15, 2019 – breaking down the List 4 products into two parts. The first list, List 4A, will move forward as planned for the September 1, 2019 effective date.

List 4B, which includes mobile phones, laptops, video games, computer monitors, toys and some clothing and footwear, will delay imposing tariffs on some imports from China until December 15, 2019.
