U.S.T.R. Grants Three Additional Exclusions on China 301 Tariffs

9903.88.57 – Tranche 4

Effective with respect to goods entered on or after September 1, 2020, and through December 31, 2020, the USTR has granted another set of exclusions. The list of 87 exclusions are reflected in 73 specially prepared product descriptions covered by 14 HTS subheadings. These exclusions may be claimed under subheading 9903.88.57.  

9903.88.58 and 9903.88.59 – List 1 and List 2 Exclusions

On September 17, 2020, the U.S. Trade Representative announced a further extension for many but not all items which were originally set to expire on September 20, 2020. The 9903.88.58 list and 9903.88.59 list are granted for goods entered on or after September 20, 2020 and through December 31, 2020.

Please review these lists to see if your products are affected. Importers are responsible for determining whether their product(s) meet the specific description next to the HTS – Harmonized Tariff Schedule. If your goods qualify for the exclusion, even if you did not request it, and wish to discuss a strategy for requesting retroactive refunds, please contact your local C J representative.
