U.S.T.R. Publishes Additional Exclusions to List 3 China 301 Tariffs Section 301, List 3, 9903.88.46

The U.S. Trade Representative just announced the latest batch of exclusions from the China 301 tariffs. The list published in the Federal Register May 8, 2020 covers two 10-digit HTSUS subheadings, which cover 15 exclusion requests, and 144 specifically prepared product descriptions covered by 170 separate exclusion requests. These exclusions will apply from September 24, 2019 and will remain in place to August 7, 2020.

Please review this list to see if your products are affected. Importers are responsible for determining whether or not their product(s) meet the specific description next to the HTS – Harmonized Tariff Schedule. If your goods qualify for the exclusion, even if you did not request it, and wish to discuss a strategy for requesting retroactive refunds, please contact your local C J representative.
