U.S.T.R. Publishes Additional Exclusions to List 4A China 301 Tariffs Section 301, List 4A, 9903.88.49

The U.S. Trade Representative has announced additional exclusions from the China 301 tariffs. The list of exclusions are reflected in two ten-digit HTSUS subheadings and 32 specially prepared product descriptions. These exclusions are in response to 55 separate exclusion requests, are retroactive to September 1, 2019 and will remain in place until September 1, 2020.

Please review this list to see if your products are affected. Importers are responsible for determining whether or not their product(s) meet the specific description next to the HTS – Harmonized Tariff Schedule. If your goods qualify for the exclusion, even if you did not request it, and wish to discuss a strategy for requesting retroactive refunds, please contact your local C J representative.
