U.S.T.R. Publishes Additional Exclusions to List 4A China 301 Tariffs to Include Medical Goods Section 301, List 4A, 9903.88.47

The U.S. Trade Representative just announced the latest batch of exclusions from the China 301 tariffs. The announcement today will be posted in the Federal Register on May 12, 2020 and includes three 10-digit HTSUS subheadings and five specially prepared product descriptions and covered by 27 separate exclusion requests. These exclusions will apply from September 1, 2019 and will remain in place to September 1, 2020.
 
Please review this list to see if your products are affected. Importers are responsible for determining whether or not their product(s) meet the specific description next to the HTS – Harmonized Tariff Schedule. If your goods qualify for the exclusion, even if you did not request it, and wish to discuss a strategy for requesting retroactive refunds, please contact your local C J representative.
