US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to Enter into Force July 1, 2020

On June 16, 2020 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced via CSMS #43062320 advising they have published updated Interim Implementation Instructions for the USMCA, along with the new USMCA Uniform Regulations with clear advice that these are interim instructions and for guidance only.

The Final instructions are expected to be released prior to July 1, the date the USMCA enters into force. Additional details on USMCA entry, compliance, and other requirements will be forthcoming and CBP expects all stakeholder to monitor the CBP website for any further revisions or updates.
